tutorial tested by:

01) set your FGC to: light colour
and your BGC to: dark colour of your choice

open tube: angels_ILR.psp

Window / Duplicate (Shift + D)

close original

Layers / New Raster Layer

flood fill with your dark BGC

Layers / Merge / Merge visible

02) Layers / New Raster Layer

flood fill with your light FGC

open tube: sg_starry-nights.jpg

minimize back to your picture

Layers / New Mask Layer / From Image:

Layers / Merge / Merge Group

close minimized mask again; we don't need it anymore
back to your picture

03) Layer: Group - Raster 1 is activated

Selections / Load/Save Selection / Load selection from Alpha Channel:

Edit / Cut (delete key)

Layers / New Raster Layer

flood fill with a very dark colour

Selections / Modify / Contract by: 2 px

flood fill with a very light colour

Deselect

Layers / Arrange / Move Down

04) activate top layer (Group - Raster 1) again

Selections / Load/Save Selection / Load selection from Alpha Channel:

Edit / Cut (delete key)

activate layer under it again (Raster 1)

flood fill with your very light colour

Selections / Modify / Contract by: 2 px

flood fill with your very dark colour

Deselect

rename this layer: Animation 01

05) layer Animation 01 is activated

Selections / Load/Save Selection / Load selection from Alpha Channel:
